Principal's Message
Rita Pamei (B.Sc, M.Ed)
The St. Anthony's School with the motto "Corpus, Mens, Spiritus" envisages an all around and balanced education based on sound intellectual, physical, moral and social formation. As we live in a multi-cultural and multi-dimensional society, special stress has been laid on the character formation and development of personality in an environment which is open, positive and mutually inclusive. The aim is to make our students to ceaselessly seek excellence through hardwork and team spirit while at the same time, give them the exposure and guidance to develop mutual respect and love for all fellow human beings and a deep concern for the environment .
During their time in this school, I sincerely believe that they can be taught the necessary skills- physical, moral and spiritual, for dealing with all kind of challenges that lies ahead in this complex technologically driven world. As an educationist I feel that the education systems in our state is failing in these critical task. Instead many so called "educational institution" are in overdrive mode to produce good examination results by any means. Unfortunately many of the parents seems to be unwittingly falling into this sinkhole of education devoid of values which will not contribute to the long-term happiness and well being of the students. Here in St. Anthony's, our endeavour is to mould young boys and girls into successful ladies and gentlemen of high integrity who will leave a mark in their chosen fields and positively impact the society. Success, however, does not come without concerted efforts from the students, parents and school. It takes a sound value-based education, a clear mission and a far-reaching vision from all stake holders.
Our past students are today in various professions, occupying respectable and responsible positions. But in education as in life, one can never sit back and think that one has reached the pinnacle, for with contentment comes stagnation. We constantly strive for higher goals by continuously updating and improving our teaching and learning methodology.
There are many ways to assess the suitability of the School for your children. One of the best ways is to speak to those who studied or are studying in the school. The other way is to visit the campus and explore the facilities and infrastructures in the School and also speak to the teachers. I encourage you to take sometime to visit the School and talk to the teachers in order to understand the philosophy of the Anthonian Family. Come and get a feel of the inclusive culture of the school and witness an atmosphere of the excitement palpable in our students.
As the Principal, for the last many years, I and our team of dedicated teachers, are blessed with the responsibilities of nurturing the future of our students. I am overwhelmed with the love and cooperation from parents, well wishers and above all, with the love and affection showered upon us by the students. I think I have received more than I could give. I will always try my utmost to redeem the trust place upon our shoulder.
With Best Wishes
Principal
